Slashing critical services that reduce the spread of contagious diseases, keep children safe in child care facilities and prevent dangerous criminals from walking the streets will transform the Golden State into an unlivable third-world country.''...

Furloughing state employees, who provide critical, life saving services, will only accelerate California's financial freefall.
